Idea to Patent to Market Disruption

INTRODUCTION
Patents are a unique form of intellectual property or asset for a business. The creation and protection of an invention can be quite the task. This is especially true when seeking to protect the asset on a global scale. Assuming one file properly and it is approved, there is then the daunting undertaking of implementing the creation into the marketplace. A lot of time and money has been spent and at this stage, it can either crash and burn or innovate, aka, “disrupt” an industry for the better.

SESSION
This 2-hour workshop reveals the step-by-step process of documenting, filing, and protecting an invention via the patent process. It will also demonstrate an example of a successful “disruption” in the fitness industry.
